Most insurance companies do not include earthquake insurance with homeowners policies, it’s typically a separate policy from your homeowner’s policy. The prices can vary dependent upon your insurance credit score (yes you have an “insurance credit score”) which unfairly measures your risk based on your credit score rather than merely past claims or the area of your home/etc.
Perhaps it’s time to get that earthquake insurance before it’s too late?
