Account Control Technology leased 30,000 square feet of office space at  11830 Webb Chapel and LBJ.

ACT is a California-based collection agency and debt management firm is hiring 300 people in Dallas for a new operation. This will be the company’s fifth U.S. office and the second in Texas.

“ACT is pleased to expand in order to serve our growing list of clients while maintaining our high service level,” Nabil Kabbani, CEO of the firm, said in a statement. “This latest investment in Texas provides additional job opportunities and support for the local community.”

The building where the company has leased space is at Webb Chapel and LBJ Freeway and is a former shopping mall that was converted into an office and data center complex years ago.  It has sat vacant for a while but the new center will open in the coming months, the company said.

This is good for Westhollow’s commercial sector and means more people moving to the area.   This will help to drive a need for multi-family in the area as well, something currently missing.

Westhollow Society is working to bring mixed-use shopping/living to the area as well.
