Two people died in a crash early Sunday in northwest Dallas, police said.
Police said the victims, a 49-year-old man and 77-year-old woman, were going north in the 11900 block of Webb Chapel Road, near I-635, when another person going east on the Lyndon B. Johnson Freeway service road ran a red light, hitting their vehicle.
The victims’ vehicle struck a retaining wall, and they died at the scene. Police did not release their names Sunday morning.
The driver who caused the crash fled, police said. They did not say what charges he could face. A passenger in his vehicle was detained and taken to Parkland hospital with minor injuries.
